“Among the many thousands of things that I have never been able to understand, one in particular stands out. That is the question of who was the first person who stood by a pile of sand and said, "You know, I bet if we took some of this and mixed it with a little potash and heated it, we could make a material that would be solid and yet transparent. We could call it glass." Call me obtuse, but you could stand me on a beach till the end of time and never would it occur to me to try to make it into windows.”

“The great teachings unanimously emphasize that all the peace, wisdom, and joy in the universe are already within us; we don't have to gain, develop, or attain them. We're like a child standing in a beautiful park with his eyes shut tight. We don't need to imagine trees, flowers, deer, birds, and sky; we merely need to open our eyes and realize what is already here, who we really are -- as soon as we quit pretending we're small or unholy.”

We got Cade new Crocks. However it seems to be a mistake because he can take them off by himself and seems to prefer the right one to be used as a ball while the left one stays on his little foot. Silly Kid!

The Beginning

Welcome to my new Blog! I have decided that in effort to have a history for my family I am going to start taking pictures that tell the story of that day. I hope to be able to have at least one shot that can captivate the feeling of the day. I welcome you into my home, my heart, and my life....Enjoy!

Baseball seems to be the sport of choice around here and Cade is working on perfecting his skills which equals me pitching many balls. I tried to multi-task while pitching today. I would fold a shirt or two while Cade tracked down the balls he previously hit. Well, Cade did not see that plan as acceptable. He came up to me and said, "no, no, no," took the shirt out of my hands, placed it back in the basket and put the ball in my hands and said, "yes!" and then took up his hitting stance again. Haha, baseball and laundry do not mix.
